2024 July, still rocking!

I like a lot of music if its great, across many genres. That being said, It feels unfair to insult emo, it can be cool. Sure is not as awesome as most goth genres BUT it is absolutely a sub genre of goth, like how scene is a distant relative of gothic influence.. like the happy rainbow version that listens to everything pop punk and some old bring me the horizon... actually, scene does seem like it's a pop punk style more than it ever was a deathcore style... when I think of heavier music like that ( not the usual offensive lyrics but like, the sound engineering ) I think of a version of goth... not exactly what was scene. Scene definitely seems like a pop punk thing. Absolutely makes more sense. But, I consider them all kind of related even if not related closely. I definitely loved seeing someone dress in the "death scene" style, or "goth scene" and when I asked that girl if she was goth because I was in awe of her aesthetic she scoffed at me and said she was "emo" in a annoyed voice.... that honestly was confusing to hear... just, I disagree with calling a style "emo" that word seems like a derogatory insult used as a weapon against someone who is emotionally damaged or has mental illness that results in crying more than usual.
